About CIANAM
At the 2002 Annual Meeting of FONASBA in Rio de Janeiro, the Latin American Associations present, especially Brazil and Argentina, considered the need to create an organisation to act as a nucleus for the Associations in the region.
The first meeting took place in Buenos Aires on 27 June 2003, with a large number of participants, among others the President of Fonasba.
The importance of incorporating Latin American countries and especially inviting the United States and Canada was discussed.
